What Is The Treatment For Fever And Sore Throat?

I have a fever of 101.2, severe leg pain and my heart rate is around 120-140. The same thing happened yesterday in the evening with a little bit of a sore throat. I felt fine all day and then a few hours ago my legs hurt, my fever is back and my pulse has elevated. I am a 33 y/o male, 6' 215,

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever and sore throat which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan for 4-5 days. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take you take nasal decongestant sprays, antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozenges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
