What Is The Treatment For Fever And Loose Stools In Child?

My 18 months old has fever and diarrhea. Today is the 6th day. For the first three days he had throat infection as well and doctor prescribed amoxil, add just (zinc/copper formula), ibuprofen, probiotic (enterogermina). Then when no improvement in fever and diarrhea showing slight blood and mucous doctor prescribed Entamizole(diloxanide Furoate/ metronidazole benzoate), Cefixime and Qplex (herbal anti diarrhoeal suspension containing gile Armani, carb complex, ext aegle marmelos, oleum dil, oleum fennel, palatable complex base). His throat is fine but after slight improvement in loose stools for a day he has now loose stools again. Fever persists and sometimes shoots to 102-103 before the brufen dose. The dose brings it down but it recurs. Since yesterday he has caught a flue as well.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. It will be better to get the stool and blood tested. The course of medicines looks fine. Cefixime will help even for typhoid. If needed your Doctor may add injection gentamycin or amikacin ( if he feels so) . I hope the child is not dehydrated.
