What Is The Treatment For Eustachian Tube Dysfunction?
I was diagnosed with an ear infection a week and a half ago. I went back to the doctor on Monday and they stated the infection is gone, however it looks as though my eardrum had popped. I m on Flonase but I was wondering if there is anything else I could do to help clear the eustacean tubes as they are still full in my left ear.

As per your complain clogging and congestion in the ear after ear infection seems to be most probably due to fluid accumulation behind the eardrum and blocked the Eustachian tube. It can occur after a bout of cold as the ear and throat are connected via Eustachian tube. I would suggest you to consult an otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like X-ray,otoscopy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, oral as well as nasal decongestants like Xylometazoline nasal sprays. Along with it steam inhalation and chewing chewing gum can help. In case of no improvement in 15 days surgical drainage by making a small incision through the eardrum can help.
