What is the treatment for ear infection and fever?

my daughter went to ENT 1 1/2 weeks ago because of ear infections and fevers off and on since nov.. her hearing in that ear is so so. he said she had cholesteatoma in that ear and he wanted to see her in 4 weeks. he did hearing test and looked in her ear and pulled out a chunck of skin? and said that would probably help a little. he said we may do xray or scan at next visit? if worse. she has been vomiting pretty much every meal for 3 weeks. nausea meds help her keep down but i m concerned that we need to go in sooner.....

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Cholesteatoma is a chronic disorder, that leads to loss of hearing and infections. If her situation is worsening with fever, ear pain and vomiting, I recommend going to the ER for a brain CT scan.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
