hii i m medical student..initially before 45 days night dry cough started..i think that was due to dust & fibres of my blanket...then I have taken DILO bm expectarant..but still it was disturbing me even after citrizine then cold attacked me..that result in cough ...I have taken montair LC& azithromycin..now cold is okay but still dry deep cough making me irritable..now one syrup ZEDEX..in my hands widEXL-250& montair LC...but m load by thinking side effects of these drug i m taking for 45 days...please give me advice my x-ray &blood tests r normal wid 30ESR level
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done PFT ( pulmonary function test ) to rule out asthma. Because night time continuous coughing, even with drugs, is more suggestive of asthma. So get done PFT for the diagnosis of asthma. It will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment is based on severity only. So get done PFT. So consult pulmonologist and first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Don't worry, you will be alright.
