What Is The Treatment For Cysts?

Hello, last week I was itchy and noticed several cyst type wounds which started first on my scalp then upper shoulders, legs and feet. My mother is a nurse and thought I had scabies as I had some type of infestation on my skin and in my hair. I treated it with Permythin as well as one dose so far of ivervectim, (excuse spelling errors I am really agitated right now). Any how if its worth mentioning I did have a stubborn staph infection over summer and into fall of 2013. Well the cysts, and itchy feelings I now believe could be due to some freak form of myiasis. I didn t think myiasis flies would do this but mostly at night last night and right now(I m east coast) being the worst attack, its like I am being swarmed with dozens of these things trying to imbed themselves into my skin, I think through the hair follicle and defiantly through cysts and wounds.. Possibly follicular myiasis? I had one hook me in the eye(small pinch felt),and then disappear into the corner of my eye. I m not making this up when I tell you that I pulled a small nat or what some people call may bug type fly out of one of the cyst wounds. That is the last straw for me. I think I can see there breathing stem poking out of some cysts. I know Myiasis isn t that common in North America (and no I have not been to any tropics lately), but also what is strange is they are very small bugs/larvae trying to get into my skin. As I type I keep shoeing them off my legs. They are tiny and seem to go up my pant leg or sometimes it feels like through my cloths? Its very strange and I am freaked out. Is this something I should run to the e.r. for asap? Or should I try to get through the night as they don t really bother me during the day, except q little in the morning. Thank you, Mike.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be Prurigo simplex most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. It may be precipitated by many tiggers like irritants and allergens. It may b exacerbated by mental upsets. I would recommend you to apply mild steroid cream and to take a course of oral steroid in tapering dose. And you may take antihistaminics like cetirizine 10 mg daily for few weeks. It may regressed by avoiding contact with suspected allergens and irritants.

Hope this helps.
