What Is The Treatment For Constipation?

I m 21 yrs old and i have been facing this constipation problem since my childhood and i never i took care of it nor considered it serious. Slowly the things got worse. I used to feel always lazy, not concentrated to do any work,simply get frustrated and my body not co-operating me to do any work. I don t feel hungry at regular times and just simply eat because I have to eat.When I go to classes I just simply sit and drown into sleep.I feel inactive and uninterested to answer to any questions in the class though i knew them. At times I ll be good at doing things when I attend the calls regularly in morning. But this lasts only for few days again the same thing repeats.as a result of this improper metabolisim my belly, thighs and hip got fatted. I appear short with thin hands but other parts of me are awkward due to this constipation problem. I have consulted the doctor once regarding this problem , but the doctor instead of under standing my problem started laughing as though I was cracking jokes in front of him.I was really humiliated and felt depressed and never went to any doctor for the sake of this. Another thing is I drink 2-3 glasses of water daily in the morning and as I stay in hostel, I can t afford a proper diet. The food I get is rice and dal, my mrng break fast starts with rice receips and the dinner also ends with the same along with dal. so, I therefore kindly request you to cosider my problem and recommend me the tablets that are necessary and thank you in advance

I really appreciate your concern, you need not to worry at all.

Constipation can lead to drowsiness, inability to concentrate on study

since you are staying bin hostel so I would advise you to follow these guidelines for immediate relief.
1. you should take dietary fiber supplement like ishabgol husk with lukewarm water in evening, you should take lots of fresh fruits if possible, all this modification will help by increasing roughage and facilitate bowel evacuation adequately.
2. you should take lukewarm water mixed with honey in early morning
3. you should exercise regularly like brisk walking and yoga
4. try to avoid junk and fatty food.

If it doesn't relive with these measures you can take laxative like lactulose or stool softeners like liquid paraffin before going to bed.
