What Is The Treatment For Chest Pain And High Blood Pressure?

I got my first cortisone shot in both knees two days ago. Yesterday, I looked like I got sunburned on my face, neck and arms. Plus they were hot. The redness in my arms is gone, but I still look flushed in the face and neck today. Also, I haven t felt well at all. I feel like I have the flu. Nausea, gas, burping, etc. Now tonight, I m having chest pains. They hurt across the front and back. My blood pressure is up as well. I take iodine for my thyroid. I had a cyst on it drained a few months ago. Thoughts?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you are having side effects of cortisone.
Cortisone is corticosteroid. And in rare cases after intraarticular injection, this can cause sudden anaphylactic reaction.
So your skin lesions are mostly due to side effects of cortisone.
Better to consult dermatologist for this. You may need antihistamine and anti allergic drug.
Chest pain with high blood pressure is also seen due to steroid injection. This is due to effect on heart. So get done ecg and 2d echo to rule out heart damage.
