What Is The Treatment For Chest Pain And Difficulty Breathing?

Hello. I am a 21 year old girl, very heathy & for going on a year or so my chest as been hurting off and on. At first it wasn't to bad, I was able to handle the pain, but recentley it's been so much worse. There is no reason for the pain. I can get it just laying down. I do feel it a lot when I get stressed or I am walking around, going up and down on a ladder. It gets hard to breathe, the only thing that really helps is putting preasuer on it, laying on it. It also feels like my body is closing up on me. I have to like force myself to breathe, I have tried a inhaler a doctor prescribed to me, but it doesn't help, sometimes makes it worse. I'm just not able to handle the pain anymore and my doctor really isn't sure what is happening to me.

Hi
It can be a costochondritis. While palpation on the area you will get pain. I give Diclofenac or Nimesulide gel for local application for such case.If severe i give them as oral also. But better to rule out cardiac cause by taking an ECG.A Chest x ray also should be taken as routine.Hope this may help you.
thanks
