What Is The Treatment For Bump On Labia Majora?

Hi doctor.. I have little bump on labia majora .. I guess its a boil and its under the skin and it hasnt come to an head . I used hot water bath which is a relief a bit . So can i use sensodyne toothpaste on boil? My doc appt is next week and i can t sometimes handle the pain .

Hello and welcome,

It seems that you may be having either bartholinitis[ infection of the bartholins glands] or a folliculitis [ infection of the hair follicle]. Use, hot fomentation and tablet acetaminophen to control pain. Do not use tooth paste.

Use diclofenac ointment, to be applied twice daily only on the skin side and not on the vaginal side at all.

This will decrease the pain until you are able to see your doctor.
