My son and his wife took their baby back to Dr. thought he may have a lung infection so they wanted him x-rayed. The first time they treated him for an ear infection...anyway the x-ray showed 3 broken ribs in the back area, what would cause this??? They are going to their baby Dr on Monday with DHS. I really dont believe it could be child abuse, but it hurts my heart to know he has broken ribs, and as you may imagine my son and daughter-in-law are sick!!!!
Hello, I can understand your problem. You are absolutely right. I think reason for broken ribs would be TRAUMA only, beside that no any reason for that is reasonable. You already did CHEST X ray. Good. So consult with paediatric orthopedician. Till that time you should wath for any symptoms like breathlessness in your child. I think this is helpful to you. Review back. Thank you.

My daughter is three months old, and has been in and out of he hospital for almost a month and a half now, first the doctors said she had the rhino virus, then she started having seizures a few days later, then an mri was done and they found bleeding in the back of her brain. all CT scans prior to this were normal and blood work was normal too. About a week later a skeletal survey was done and the doctors said she had two broken ribs. I was shocked to hear this and she was taken into cps care. she was in the hospital for two and a half weeks before they found the broken ribs, and now three weeks have passed and she just had a shunt put in this morning because of fluid building up in her brain. I dont know what is going on, or what could be causing this, they say she was tested negitive for shaken baby syndrome and there are no other signs of trauma. My baby has never been mistreated or abused, do you have any idea what could be going on?
I broke 3 ribs after tripping over my cat about 3 years ago. I was xrayed and the doctor confirmed that ribs were broken but did nothing. Now I can t twist without extreme pain....the injury took place on my left side. This injury doesn t want to heal. What can I do?
I fell and hit my lower left back in the bottom rib area very hard against and auto mobile 2 days ago. I have a lot of pain and tenderness in the area. I am able to breath fine. The pain comes form touch, if I burp, move certain ways. Every once in a while I fell a popping sensation. Although the pain is on the lower left side it hurts more when I lie on my right side than on my left. What could it be

Our 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with Digeorge syndrom at 3 months of age. She has had major cardiac issues with 3 truncus artiriosis repairs, frequent ear infections as a small child causing hearing loss (2 sets of ear tubes , gone now) and required speech therepy due to her inablility to completely close her soft pallet. Her last surgery was in 2009. About a year ago she began having severe anxiety attacks . These attacks came on one random day shortly after being treated for an ear infection with antibiotics that caused severe stomach problems. So we started taking probiatics. These new symptoms include naussa, heartburn , cramping, chest pain and difficulty swollowing. All these symptoms occur multiple time per day, each day and last a varying length of time and are never the same in intensity or combination of symptoms. We have tried to asstablish a pattern but failed. We saw a gastroenterologist that did a scope procedure and only found a small irritation due to her heartburn. I have followed through with her current providers up to this point with the exception of seeing a therapist because my husband (her father) and I are old school and having trouble believing this is all caused by anxiety. We want to have an MRI or something to rule out anything else and all her providers keep pushing therapy for anxiety. We are at our wits end and don t know what to do, move forward with the currnet plan or start fresh somewhere else. Virtually all of her procedures were handled at C.S. Mott s Children s Hospital at the University of Michigan and up until this point we have been extremely happy with all her care and providers. Any advice or imformation would be greatly appriciated. We have no insurance although she is covered by Medicaid/ Children s Special Health Care, so to top everything off we are omewhat limited on what control we have over her care. Is there a connection between Digeorge syndrom and gastrointestinal issues? Help! She has suffered enough already. -Nancy Bouchard
hello. my 6 month old baby has got an ear infection. her left ear smells very fishy. The doctor has given her Gentisone ear drops, but I m not sure about this doctor, as he also prescribed her Otosporin ear drops, which apparently isn t suitable for children below 3years old.
I have this fluid in my ear, I know this is weird, but it smells like feet. My ear of course itches, REALLY bad. The fluid usually causes me to loose hearing, or have clogged hearing. This had been going on for a month. WHAT is going on?? (I have a history of ear problems, but never like this)
I have an ear infection ( otitis external) I was put on pain meds ibuprofen 800mg and an antibiotic, ciprofloxacin , but I cannot sleep is there any thing that can be done to make it better for me to sleep.
Sir, this is to inform that I have been operated my both ears and had been inserted grommet in the month of march 2017 following cold and cough and air travel. After that I reviewed in the month of May and the improvement was satisfactory....
