What Is The Treatment For Breast Cancer And Will It Affect Pregnancy?

Hi doctor i am 30 years old and i have been diagnosed with breast cancer 2.5 years ago and have been on Tamoxifen since 2 years now and my period has not been regular since then. I had a sexual relationship from about 25 days (with the use of condom - but obviously with the medication i am taking i cant be on pills) and now my period is late (i had it last month on the 26th). I am affraid i might be pregnant, and haven't had the pregnancy test as am not sure it would be accurate with the medication am taking. can anyone help? shall i get worried?

With proper use of a condom, it is quite unlikely that you have gotten pregnant. However, condoms do have upto 10% failure rate. In all likelihood you have irregular periods due to Tamoxifen which is quite normal. Still if you want to be sure you can use the urine pregnancy test which is accurate even with TAmoxifen.
