What Is The Treatment For Bladder Infection?

I am travelling out of country and am experiencing symptoms of a bladder infection which I have had several times. Because of the repeated return of these infections I have a prescription for Novo Lexin 500mg with me but I want to know if it is safe to take with Baclpfen 20 mg since I was given the prescription for the Novo Lexin. I look forward to your answer.

Hello,

Usually a Fluoroquinolone like Levofloxacin 250 mg (Levoflox) twice a day for five days course works efficiently for urinary bladder infections. However, if it is not feasible for you to get that medicine, Novo Lexin 500 mg can be used.

Baclofen is used to reduce muscle spasms commonly felt during bladder infection. It gives relief in pain.

It is safe to take both Novo Lexin and Baclofen together without any severe side effects.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. Safe travels!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
