What Is The Treatment For Back Pain And Headaches?

Hello, My name is Jessica, I was in a fender bender almost 2 months ago, My headache started about 3 hours after the accident. I was stopped at a red light and a lady was not paying attention and smashed right in to me. I have been seeing my doctor and since the begining he has been ignoring my back. I have a sharp pain in my back,( on the lower left side of my spine) after I have the stabing pain, I feel a warm burning pain. I am just wondering if I have something wrong with my back and that is makin my headaches not going away. My doctor is sending me for P.T., I start tomorrow. I just wanna know if I should go or not? I dont wanna mess my back up even more I am only 25.

Dear Jessica,
I certainly think that physical therapy will help with your pain. The pain you described is most probably a paraspinal pain. It should go away with time after doing physical therapy and maintaining correct posture and not bending your back forward too much. In case it doesn't subside with PT etc., you must discuss with your physician and get a MRI scan of your lumbar spine done along with a spinal screen scan.
I find this answer helpful
