What Is The Treatment For Arthritis?

I am a 74 year old woman who has had aortic valve replacement, hip replaced and was just released from the hospital last month after suffering a occipital stroke. Lisinipril was increased from 10mg to 20mg and lately when getting out of bed or after sitting for a while my thigh muscles hurt badly. I have been diagnosed with severe arthritis from the neck down and even had a cervical ablation. My left wrist is now also bothering me. But this pain is new and bewildering.

Hello,

I have studied your case.
Along with arthritis of neck bone there can be associated disc compression.
Due to compression of nerve root there can be pain.
Also there can be large disc bulge which is compressing over spinal cord.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give you relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
