What Is The Treatment For Anal Itching?

I am a 45 year old female. I was diagnosed with a fissure about 3 months ago. I had some ointment to apply and it did get better however I was still bleeding and had what was then diagnosed as a skin tag on my anus. A couple of weeks later the itching became extreme and in a matter of 4/5 days/nights I have bright red swollen skin all through my rear end cheeks and down into my inner thighs. It is driving me crazy and seems to continue spreading each day. The anal skin tag is not the issue the itching/swelling/burning and spreading is. Suggestions?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

Have an anti-parasitic drug like albendazole and apply cream in and around the skin tag containing lignocaine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
