What Is The Treatment For An Ear Injury?

Today,I got hit in the ear while playing basketball. My hearing was temporarily muffled, and now when I talk, or when others talk too loud there is a sort of vibrating or static in my left ear. When I got hit, i heard fluid in my ear as I felt around, but there was no fluid there. What do I do?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query I would like to say that it appears your ear drum get ruptured and there is most probably a traumatic hole had been developed which is giving you feeling of muffled sound whatever you are hearing from that ear.

Please don't worry this is very common in ear injury and regeneration power of ear drum is excillent.

Please do-

1- Don't put any ear drop or oil in ear.

2- Cover the ear canal by a piece of cotton.

3- Anti inflammatory tab.

4- Anti histaminic.

Most probably you will be alright within a weeks time otherwise ENT cosultation will become necessary.

Regards.
