What Is The Treatment For A Sore Throat?

My son had a sore throat about 3 weeks ago with congestion and fatigue his dr thought it could be mono because its was going around his school. She did not test him, but did a rapid strep test and it was negative. She put him on antibiotics and it seemed to get a little better. Now he has a sore throat and fatigue again and so does my husband. My husband has had his symtoms for about the same time as my son?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for the query.
Start antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids , combination of Paracetemol + Ibuprofen , Antibiotic azithromycin for 5 days.

Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
Hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
