What Is The Treatment For A Blister On The Toe?

I had a serious bruise injury on my left big toe 6 days ago. It was dark purple. By the end of the day a blister formed on the top of my toe (a major point of impact). The blister grew, but as the blister grew, it seemed to dissipate the hematoma (?) and most of the discoloration on my big toe disappeared completely. The blister was entirely blue. Currently, most of the (mild) pain is primarily associated with the blister. I credit the blister as being some sort of vehicle for dissipating the bruise. It seems to be agitated mostly by my footwear. Although the blister is occasionally breached and some drainage occurs. The blister seems to repair itself. Since it seems to play more of a healing role (like with a burn), I do not want to attempt any drainage. It does not appear to be part of any infection. I don t see any pus. I feel like I need to let it be and let the healing run its course. Does this sound right?

Hi,

It seems that probably you may be having friction blister. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.I would recommend you to apply antibiotic cream on the lesion. Take a course of antibiotics for a week. If there is inflammation, take tab Brufen 400 mg once a day. Takr vitamin C1000 mg daily. And wear the shoes having soft insole so that injury to the foot skin is avoided.

Hope this helps.
