Hello
Thanks for query .You have been detected to have UTI due to Klebbsiella Pneumoniae organisms ,

This is known notorious infective organisms causing chronic UTiI .In recent times the organisms have been becoming resistant to all commonly used antibiotics that are being used in UTI .

Get your urine culture done to trace out the antibiotics to which they are sensitive to .

You can take combination of antibiotics like third-generation cephalosporins (Cefotaxime, Ceftriaxone),with Carbapenems ( Imipenem/cilastatin), and aminoglycosides ( Gentamicin, Amikacin),

You need to check sensitivity pattern of these organisms at frequent intervals by doing urine culture and change the antibiotics as per culture report .

Urologist Dr. Matthew J. Mangat's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can well understand your anxiety.
Your urine culture report, which shows the Klebsiella bactreia, also shows which antibiotics, are most sensitive to treat it.
So a course of the sensitive antibiotic,is enough to take care of the infection.
Do mention your age and if you're on any other medication.Test for :
1. Blood routine,urea,creatinine and sugar.
2. Ultrasound scan abdomen, to know changes in kidney and bladder.
Drink 10-12 glasses fluids daily. Show reports to an Urologist.
If you've any other doubts, you may send it as a direct question, to me.
