What Is The Treatment For Peyronie's Disease?

Hey, I’m a twenty years old and noticed two years ago that my penis curved left and the curved only got worse during the time and I’m worried that it won’t come right, is it best to go see a doctor about this? When erected it has a left curve about 30 degrees and sometimes very painful when erected is this a sign of PD? Will surgery fix this problem and will it do anything to the size of my penis and what is the best treatment for this?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i must advise you, see an Urologist at the earliest.
Certain degree of penile curvature is normal.
Painful erection, is not normal and needs an expert medical check-up.
Peyronies' plaque is the cause for the pain, in patients' having PD.
Depending on how early you start treatment, the response also varies.
In the initial period, medical treatment is an option, and many patients' have a good response. Surgery is only a last option in PD.
If you've any other doubt, you may contact me here, by name.
Wish you well.

Psychiatrist Dr. Chintan Raval's  Response
Dear service user,
Thank you for writing to HCM.
I understand your concern about penile curvature and fear of Peyronie disease (PD).
The little curvature of erect penis is normal thing.
Hardly anyone has straight 90 degree erection.
Curvature has no effect on sexual satisfaction of partner. For example, if one has to pass inside a room through the window, it does not matter the direction of entering the window. It’s ENTRY followed by to and fro continuous movements that is important.
You may get examined by a general surgeon or urologist for clarifying the doubt. If it is PD, it can be cured by minor surgical correction. It will not harm your sexual life in future.
Get relaxed and go ahead.
Wish you good health.
