What Is The Treatment For Inflammatory Bowel Disease?

hi, I am 33 year old and recently felt that my bowels are getting swollen Whatever I eat or drink lower part of my belly is getting swollen minutes later. I did noth ave this symptoms earlier so wondering what this could be ? THanks for help in advance.

Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Feeling that the bowel are inflamed and getting bloating sometime after eating indicate an intestinal obstruction.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get an X-ray of the abdomen in standing position after bloating develops.
CT scan of the abdomen.
Colonoscopy.
Tests of stool for a few times and tests of blood.
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor, preferably a Gastroenterologist can help you to get the most proper diagnosis and a plan of treatment.
Till then take liquid diet.
Avoid all the foods and beverages that cause the problem.
If there is an intestinal obstruction, you will need a surgery.
If there is an intestinal infection, a course of an antibiotic,. metronidazole will help you.
Take probiotics.
