What Is The Treatment For HOCM At The Age Of 52?

my father has detected his HOCM a day before . he is 52
actually a few doctors suggested for engiography as a confirmation test but some said its in the intial stage right now so medicines will atleast help doing away with the symptoms atlest n will not let the problem grow

so we are in a confusion n wanted to consult to the best doctor
we live in india
so if any of you have any suggestions ?

thanks for your query.
HOCM is a genetically determined thickening of muscles of heart. This can have a range of severity and presentation. Most importantly he should have a good echocardiogram. Need for an angiogram will depend upon his symptoms and ECHO findings. Not all patients with HOCM are at high risk. Have patience and get him evaluated at a good center.
