i have a patient in AIDS stage ,co infected with hep c non alcoholic, .h/o anemia hb 8 g/dl .He is on truvada and aluvia was non compliant now on DOT . he is afebrile jaudice ,pale .Abdomen tender epig ,guarding +.HAVE ASKED FOR AN ECHO ABD AND AWAITING LIVER PROFILE .i AM HESITANT TO STOP THE ARV

please test for the CD4 count levels and depending up on that take the decision. if patient is put on DOTS then we can stop ARV for some period at least during intensive phase of DOTS.
