What Is The Survival Rate With CLL And Spleen Enlargement?

My father has CLL and I think it's stage 2 or 3 as his spleen was enlarged, lost 10 pounds and is undergoing chemo. I live in Australia and he is in USA. Should I be concerned and go see him straight away? I just found ut the news

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Life expectancy depends on stage. In stage 2 and 3 median survival rate is more then 7 year.
However many other factors affect that.
Chemotherapy is the treatment of choice.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

CLL has good prognosis in general. However it depends on many factors. If he has stage 3 CLL then you should go to see him as early as possible. Life expectancy in later stage is not good.
