hi kaey
welcome to health care magic
Alkaptonuria is not considered life-threatening, but the complications associated with alkaptonuria can lead to more serious diseases (e.g. heart disease).
prognosis(survival rate ) is good.
it is rare condition were person urine turns dark brownish black wen exposed in air.
urinalysis is needed to confirm the condition.and there is many complication like heart disease, kidney stone, prostate stone.
so this complication should be avoided.
anyhow outcome to the condition is expected good
