my wife was using riscalm ls (Risperidone 2 mg and Trihexy phenydyl 2 m9) 2 nos per day for the last 3 years . She is quite comfortable with that, but it is now unavailable with the pharmacies around which substitute can be used in this case? pls answer for this.

Please, riscalm may not be available but there should certainly be other brands that contain risperidone. As the pharmacist for other substitutes and they would be able to tell you which other medications are available that do the same job. If this is not available for real, then talk to the prescribing doctors as he knows the patient best. There are many drugs in this class that can be used but we must make sure it is absolutely necessary and with the consent of your treating physician.
