What Is The Role Of Duphaston During Embryonic Pregnancy?

hi im 24 yrs old im pregnant now and in a lastfew days i have spotting.and the doctor suggest me to make a ulrasound.and the result is embryonic pregnancy so the doctor suggest me to take a duphaston.whathappend to me if ill take dupahaston and to may baby?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion progesterone hormone is very essential in the maintenance of pregnancy .Progesterone insufficiency might cause spotting or bleeding .So as you had spotting you are given duphaston for pregnancy maintenance.Duphaston is nothing but progesterone.It is safe for you and baby.Dont worry.Take rest.Avoid physical and mental strain.Avoid intercourse.Dont worry pregnancy like this continues normally mostly.
