What Is The Remedy For Thyroid Disorder?

Hello Doctor ...

I am 32 year old regular badmintton player for 60 min 6days a week.
at 30 I was detectec with Throid disorder.
Taking abott thyroid medicines according to 12 weeks regular. t3 t4 tsh check up.

Is there anything u would advise me to go for ... pls let me know i am wating to get rid of it.

Noted your concern.

Thyroid problems are more common in female.
Hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormones) is more common than hyperthyroidism (high Thyroid hormones).

You have not mentioned specifically the type of thyroid problem in you, what are the medicine and it's dose, Thyroid hormones levels.

For better opinion there is a need -
- To know current medicines and T3, T4,TSH levels.
- Detailed clinical examination.
- Detailed history taking regarding symptoms of hypo or hyperthyroidism.

Depending upon it there may be need for Thyroid scan, Ultrasound of thyroid gland, Auto antibody screening like Anti - TPO.

Depending upon all this information appropriate decision regarding type and duration of treatment.

Though most of thyroid problems (mainly hypothyroidism) may require life long treatment.
