What Is The Remedy For The Pain In The Are Of Blood Withdrawal?

I had blood drawn the other day for testing. During the draw my forearm started to burn. The phlebotomist stated it was from my vein colapsing and opening quickly. The pain continues and seems to be happening more frequently. Any ideas? Thank you!

The pain may be due to the thromboplebitis i.e. the inflammation of the vein wich may be caused due to the venepunctute while withdraving the blood.
Nothing to worry about it , it will subside by its own earliest without any sequele if the procedure of withdrawal of blood done as per guidlines ( taking all aseptic precautions) . If the pain is not much not hampering your daily activities nothing to be done.
If its quite remarkable you can have cold fomentation & one of the anti-iflammatory such as ibuprofen. drugs & local ointments containing hepatine+ nicotinic acid.

And if the pain is sigifiantly much with the swelling, redness, etc at the site it is better to have aphysician consultation, who will prompt you to have antibiotics along with anti iflamatory agents.
