What Is The Remedy For Sore Tongue?

Hi,

For the past week I have had a sore tongue. The first day it was really read down the centre...the first day it looked like it was bleeding slightly, now it looks more pinkish down the centre and feels better, but I have yellowish long patches down each side.

Also, the under sides of my tongue are very sore.

This past week I have had a really sore mouth, both insides of cheeks and below my lip...

Also, itchy ears...also, I have had these symptoms several times throughout my life and have never gotten a reason for it.

Is this a viral or fungal infection?

Any advice would be appreciated?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like you have fungal infection over the tongue known as Oral Thrush and it is the cause for yellowish patches over the tongue and it can also lead to soreness in tongue and other areas of mouth causing Apthous Stomatitis..
Itchy ears can be be due to infection extending from ears to throat and to ears due to communications via Eustachian tube..
You need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation has to be done and if Thrush is the cause of the symptoms he can advise you to take antifungal medicines like Nystatin mouthwash, suck clotrimazole lozenges and eating ample of Probiotics like Yoghurt and Garlic..
Avoid using Antimicrobial mouthwash..
For sore mouth you can take Multivitamin supplements, gargle with numbing mouthwash and suck on ice..
You can take Tylenol for pain..
Drink plenty of water and suck sugar free chewing gum..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
