What Is The Remedy For Pinched Nerve On Back Causing Severe Pain In Back, Leg And Buttocks Other Than Muscle Relaxers?

Hi, I recently saw a Family physician and he told me that I had a pinched nerve in my back which that is causing a lot if pain in my back and left leg and buttocks. On a scale from 1-10 it is almost all of the time a 9. I do not like muscle relaxers due to the after effect of them. I have Aetna insurance and am looking for a Dr. In the Gahanna or Columbus, Ohio area.

Hi
You can have short course of steroid in tapering dose. Along with that lumbar traction and short wave diathermy will help you. Have bed rest for few days and dont do forward bending.
