Started with persistent tension type headache for a month then it got worse for 2 days, and I strted having achy joints especially in the lower back. Extremely tired, slept for 24 hours almost. Then started feeling generally unwell, sore throat and runny nose developed. On and off feeling better. Now having nausea and a little vomiting. Headache has persisted on and off. Has been going on for a week. No high temperature but feel hot and cold.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms of headache along with nausea and vomiting are suggestive of increased intracranial tension (ICT).
Increased intracranial tension can occur in cases of infection, mass lesion or tumor.
However, do not panic.
You need to consult your physician for preliminary investigations like CSF examination.
This investigation will determine the pressure and other microscopic features of CSF.
Achy joints occur in cases of inflammation.
You need to consult an orthopedician for clinical examination, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
