Hi I m a hythyroid patient suffering with irregular periods and trying to conceive. So my gyno has prescribed me melmet 500 SR which I discontinued and changed the doctor as well. My recent gyno has prescribed me ebexid and qgold-f. After two months of then I moved to overses and discontinued using tablets. Now, I am still suffering from irregular periods and not able to contact my previous gyno and would like to continue the intake of tablets.however, I am confused to decide which tabs I should take to set my periods as well as to conceive. Therefore I would request you to let me know why the following tabs are used and which suit me best in my current situation. 1) Melmet 500 SR 2) ebexid 3) Q Gold-f 4)Duphaston 10mg( second ghyno suggested me to take this if I have intercourse)
Although you have mentioned as hypothyroid, thyroid tablet name has not been mentioned.Hypothyroid patients must take thyroid tablets to compensate the deficiency.
Kindly repeat your thyroid levels and meet a physician to decide the dose of thyroxine. Incase of polycystic ovary syndrome, metformin can be taken.Q Gold-f containing antioxidants and vitamins can be continued. Duphaston is a synthetic progestogen and has a similar action to the female hormone, progesterone. In case of suspected progesterone deficiency or repeated miscarriage,it is prescribed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
