Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand your distress regarding sleep disturbance. It is important to evaluate the cause of sleep disturbance and treat the primary cause rather than treating only insomnia.

In your case, you have mentioned about lack of energy and dizziness. These symptoms might suggest an underlying depression. I would have liked to know about other symptoms like mood state, appetite.

I would recommend that you seek a psychiatric consultation for complete evaluation. In case of depression, you need to be treated with anti-depressants. In addition, use of benzodiazepines for short term will help relieve your insomnia.

Best wishes.
