What Is The Remedy For Chest Pain When On Atenolol?

I am 54 yr old female. I Have mitral valve prolapse and a premature ventricular complex. I have recently been diagnosed with IC and am having a flare. I don t expect the IC to be a problem in my chest. I have noticed chest pain when going from lying down to sitting up or even turning over. I take Atenolol 50mg for tachachardia from the MVP. This chest discomfort bothers me somewhat. I am worried because I don t know if I should expect this from the MVP or PVC or if this is cause for concern. It is really pretty uncomfortable. Just sitting still I seem to be ok. Anything you can suggest is greatly appreciated.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
really appreciate your concern and I can understand your problem the given history is suggestive of valvular hear disease and this could be Mitral valve disease in this case the chest pain is one of the symptoms, you need to have the digitalis and diuretic to reduce the pain this is the medicine which could help you no matter if you are taking, Atenolol, repairing of valve or replacing it is advisable, take care and have nice day.
