What Is The Remedy For A Sore And Itchy Nipples?

It started about a month ago with a sore left nipple. Things seemed to have gotten better but now it iches right in the center. No lumps or bumbs that I can feel. Maybe some soreness or discomfort when I press around the inner side of my arm pit. Curt

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,,

Perhaps you have a dry skin i.e Xerosis. I suggest you apply a moisturizer, frequently.

In addition, I suggest you apply a topical steroid e.g cortisone cream, twice daily for a few days.

You may also take an oral antihistamine e.g tab Cetrizine once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
