What Is The Remedy For A Severe Sleep Disorder?

I have a step son that seems to have a severe sleep disorder. he is 28 years old and at times he has stated that he wakes up after or while driving. He is painting pictures while asleep and many very very profound things. He an we as a family are very very concerned. He has been referred to a therapist that has contact with only once per month. I work human services and feel that he needs to have a MRI., Cat Scan see a neurologist along with possible therapy. Where would you recommend to start.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, looking to the history given here I would say that, it would be better to find out the underlying cause of his sleep disturbances, he may be having some problem and that causing his sleep disturbed, you all have to morally support him, encourage him to talk have open dialogue, and I think this would be solved here only, you would not to go and see some psychiatrist, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
