Amoxicillin dosage for 6 yr old 46 lbs
My son is 6 yrs old and has a bad ear infection in one ear. Doctor gave him 500 mg of amoxicillan 2 times /day, 2 teaspoon(10mg) .His weighs 46 lbs i just think it seems like a lot for hir age please let me know if it's ok. Thank you!

The antibiotic given is the first line antibiotic recommended for ear infections in children and the dosage is ok. I feel you need to stay calm and watchful. No worries yet. IN case it persists or aggravates, see your dr again.
