What Is The Reddish Brown Bruise At Under Side Of My Breast?

I am a 45 year old female who has suddenly developed a reddish brown bruise like mark on the underside of my right breast. It is not raised and there is no lump. I noticed it 2 weeks ago and thought it may be trauma caused by my underwired bra but it is still there and in the same condition 2 weeks later. I am also currently suffering from Athletes Foot and wondered if this was connected but the mark is not cracked or crusted at all, rather just like a bruise.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

1. Under-breasts is one of the common sites for tinea infection because of the sweat n the under wired bra.
2. Allow the area to breathe. use non wired cotton fabrics
3. Keep the area sweat free
4. Local application of Clotrimazole ointment is useful
5. Follow up

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
