What Is The Red Substance In Stool?

hi my mother is 74 years old and she has started getting some red colour substance along with stool. I have already consulted doctors and some medicine like cifran tz , Enterogermina and enuff 30dt was prescribed to her for no good. what may be probable cause and which specialized segment doctor I should contact.
