What Is The Recovery Time For Thrombophlebitis?

I have Thrombophelitis, the doctor has advised me, and I have heavy pain killers and anti inflamatory drugs I was wondering how long this illness will take to go. It is very painful, and apparently it is a virus aswell/ I get pain in my writsts, fingers, veins in my hads are inflamed, and I wear tubigrips day and night, and I have pain in my arms and legs, and have terrible migraine like headaches, I feel very tired and I have heavy legs. It has been nearly three weeks now, and there does not seem to be a sign of it going, in fact the pain gets worse. Please advise. Many Thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Sir, hi sorry to hear about your issue. Now it`s somewhat odd issue.First thing if it`s superficial thrombophlebitis of a single site it`s not going to affect both extremeties, secondly there is headache and malaise which represents underlying inflammatory process. I suspect probably DVT through your narration but for confirmation and further comments regarding time of recovery I require all reports in details dear. hope this cleared your query to some extent, thanks regards would love to help you in future anytime on any issue .bye take care
