Milky discharge from nipples is a common thing and it happens due to the hormonal changes taking place in our body. The pain might be due to hormonal change or sometimes due to infection of the glands. If the pain persists then you might need to take antibiotics.

I am 20 years old and have a two year old son. I have a petite body build and have not gained much weight lately. I got one lone stretch mark on my right breast while pregnant and it hasn t bothered me until recently. It is extremely painful and seems to be getting larger; it is hollow-like and looks bruised. My right breast hurts pretty much all the time but every now and then, I will get a sharp stabbing pain where the stretch mark is, sometimes it s so bad I almost cry and can t breathe. When I think cancer, I think of a tumor, so I have no clue what this hollow spot could be!! Please help..
I am a 48 yr old , post menapausal female who went in for a spot compression after a bad mammogram...Well my 15 min. spot compression...ended up lasting two hours..They called me back because they found two areas of my right breast that needed further evaluating. I wasn t the least bit concerned up to this point because after all I had done the same routine with my last mammo. But when the tech came back in to tell me that they were contacting my Dr. at home in order to obtain an order for an US...I began to get a little concerned...Then during the US...when the tech went over the exact area that I had noticed a change in...and I could see something myself...looked sort of like an incapsalated pea...then another in area...but I still didn t get too concerned...I knew I had fibrotic breast tissue...still thought it was scar tissue...But when the radiologist herself came in to do another US herself...I started to get concerned...After about 20 minutes of complete silence...I could take it no longer...and started firing questions...Her preliminary findings off the record: She thinks the areas are fibrotic tissue clumping together for some reason in different areas that on mammo even appeared as hair-like folicles...which are also causing the nipple to remain constantly dialated. (Signs that I have noted previously were palpable mass that I have not been able to feel before, puckering in the one area, with darker pigmentation noted, almost appeared as though aerola was extending. Also noticed leakage on at least two prior occasions. Other signs that made me think it wasn/t anything serious was intense, painful sensitivity to temp...especially in frozen food section...like back when I was nursing my babies. Her reccomendation is that I followup in 6 months for a f/u US in order to see if areas are getting any bigger...My question is should I ask for further testing? You see I am an oncology nurse and am most concerned that 6 months may be too long...Any thoughts?
Hello, I have seen my Dr for this issue and have another appt Wednesday. I am just wondering what I need to ask and if I have reason to be alarmed. I have had a discharge from my left breast that is dark brown since about Oct 15 this year. I first seen my OBGYN and he stated it was probably due to changes in my body being I had a Hysto in May fallowed by 3 lupron shops. But it is still present and accompanied by sudden sharp pain and occasional sever itching. I went to my family Dr for a second opinion 3 weeks ago and he did a mammogram. Which came back neg. And he started me on antibiotics for one week, I have been done with them for 5 days. I still have the discharge, pain, itching, when in the shower if water hits my nipples the pain is very intense. I received blood work up orders for cbc, and prolactin that I have to have tomorrow, my appt is Wednesday. Is there anything I need to be asking or requesting? I am very scared, my moms mom was only one year old than I am no when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month and decided to have a bilateral mastectomy though the cancer was in my right breast. I was born with a deformed left hand but never really diagnosed for anyjthing. After my mastectomy the plastic surgeon told me that I have Polands Syndrome because I didn't have my left pectoral muscle although I have a breast a bit smaller than my right and that also explained my webbed left handfingers. I also have symptoms of horners syndrome on the left side of my face, drooping eye lid aand absence of sweat. Do you think the syndromes are all connected?
