General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about your 22 year old son. Typhoid and Jaundice 2 years ago may not be directly related to the existing problems.
These might have reduced the immunity at that time for some infections like Tuberculosis of abdomen to be settled in. Tuberculosis and such chronic diseases of abdomen can be the reasons for the symptoms of weight loss, stomach ache and need to go for stool after eating something.
I would advise him the following:
Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations:
Tests of stool for 3 consecutive days.
Tests of blood particularly for Tuberculosis, thyroid and other generalized diseases.
CT scan of abdomen.
Colonoscopy and biopsy.
Any other tests as advised.
All these will get the proper diagnosis and get the proper plan of management.
If all the tests are negative then this can be considered as IBS that is Irritable Bowel Syndrome and treated accordingly after a second opinion of a Gastroenterologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
