What is the reason for tenderness and pain at the top of the foot causing difficulty in walking ?

Foot probllem started about 4 weeks ago. top of foot tender and painful to put pressure and walk on foot. cannot wear regular shoes so have been wearing slip on tennis type shoe and still hurts to walk for any length of time - went to md and xray did not reveal any fractures of bones - neuroma? taking prescription advil and was putting ice/heat when it was really bad - it is somewhat better but still not able to walk normally on foot. Any suggestions?

Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum. are you smoker or diabetic. if you are a chronic smoker there is possibility of vascular problem. arthritis is another cause which needs neurotropic injections , analgesics ,& rubeficients for local application by the advise of an orthopedic surgeon.avoid eating potato, other tubers , tamato , coco nut &cauliflower. best of luck.
