What Is The Reason For Pain, Redness, And Soreness In Breasts?
I have been continually getting these very painful places on the lower part of my breasts for quite a while now. They start out as sore red places and then fill with blood and pus but are very difficult to drain. Lately I seem to be keeping a couple of them on each breast and as soon as they go down new ones come up. What is this and what can I do about them?
Hello, This could be due to recurrent breast abscess. An abscess is a swollen area in the body that is filled with pus (liquid filled with dead white blood cells). The swelling and pus are due to a local infection. A breast abscess is caused by a blocked duct or gland inside the breast. This blockage can lead to an infection under the skin. You may need incision and drainage of abscess under local anesthesia. Your treating doctor will put you on antibiotics for some days for treating infection. Hope this helps. Please write back for further queries. Wishing you good health.
