What Is The Reason For Numbness Around The Nostril Area?

One side of my nose has surface numbness near nostril. Area approx one inch in diameter. No pain or inflammation. No swelling or redness. Some itching sensation at times. First noticed last January while in Florida. Not much change in symptoms so far.

Hello,

Facial numbness usually occurs due to damage to the nerves, due to infection (herpes), developing Bell's palsy, peripheral artery disease, frostbite, the growth of mass in the face or the nose.

Get physically examined, get X-Ray PNS done. Take Nerve Conduction,CBC & Imaging tests. Keep your sugar in control, DM triggers worsening of the symptoms.

In the meantime, take B6, B12 with folic acid & minerals like zinc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
