What Is The Reason For Hysterectomy After Cone Biopsy For Severe Dysplasia?

I have moderate to severe dysplasia due to hpv virus. I just had a cone biopsy. Now my doctor is thinking hysterectomy. I am 49 and have been married 29years how did I get into this in the first place. I have never cheated! What would make a dr. Go for the hysterectomy?

Hi...moderate to severe dysplasia is a very high risk for cervical cancer.... so you have been adviced for hysterectomy by your doctor, so that the organ is removed before it turns into full blown cancer and spreads...so better get it done to avoid later complications due to it...regarding the virus...you must had got it from your husband...
