I always have a trace of blood in my urine. A cystoscopy showed everything to be ok a few years ago but I continue to have blood in my urine everytime I go to my urologist. No other symptoms. Should I be concerned? Is it normal for some people to always have blood in their urine?
The presence of blood in urine is indicative for: - trauma - urinary tract infection - stones (calculi) - other obstacles of urinary tract pathways (e.g. enlarged prostate if you are a male or any other internal mass) - congenital narrowing of urine pathways that might need correction.
You can discuss with your urologist about these options and to run further tests to determine the right cause.
