What Is The Prognosis For Stage 4 Lung Cancer?

I am acquainted with a person who is in stage 4 lung cancer after her coming out of remission from non-hodgkins lymphoma. She appears to be very weak. Her feet and hands are very swollen and she is not eating very much if at all. Her med providers have stopped treatment some time ago. Are these signs the patient is near death?

Hi

Average survival time for stage 4 lung cancer is around 6 months.

I would advise basic supportive care for her.

Regards
